Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
ActingFolio is operated by LUCKYRUBY LLC ("ActingFolio", "we", "us"). This policy describes what information we collect when you use the service and what we do with it.
1. Information we collect
From actors (signed-in users):
- Account information: email address, password (stored hashed), display name, and your chosen portfolio URL slug
- Profile information you provide: contact email, contact phone, profile photo, résumé, "About me" text, agent contacts, and social media links
- Video content you upload, along with derived files (transcoded video, posters, animated thumbnails)
- Theme and display preferences
- If you sign in with Facebook or Google: your name and email address from that account (we don't receive your friends list, posts, or anything beyond basic profile)
From portfolio visitors:
- IP address, user-agent string, browser, operating system, and device type
- Referring URL, landing page, and pages viewed within the portfolio
- Approximate geographic location derived from IP (city, region, country)
- Engagement signals: which videos were played, how far each visitor watched, whether the résumé was downloaded, whether contact information was clicked
Payment information:
Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive only the subscription status, the last four digits of the card, and the billing email from Stripe.
2. How we use this information
- To operate the service: host portfolios, transcode videos, process subscriptions, send transactional emails (welcome, trial reminders, payment notifications)
- To provide analytics to actors about traffic to their own portfolio (visits, video views, drop-off, referrers, devices) — relied upon as legitimate interest in helping actors understand and improve their public-facing reach
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent use of the service
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Your public portfolio
Once you publish a portfolio at actingfolio.com/<your-custom-path>, that page and the content you've added to it (name, profile photo, gallery photos, uploaded videos and audio, "About me" text, agent information, social links) are publicly accessible to anyone with the URL.
We support and encourage this content being discovered through search engines. Specifically:
- Search engines (Google, Bing, and others) crawl and index your public portfolio page
- We submit a list of active portfolios to search engines via standard sitemaps so they can be found in search results
- We generate "link preview cards" — composed images combining your name, profile photo, and the categories of work you've published — so that when someone shares your portfolio link on Instagram, iMessage, Slack, or similar, the preview that renders represents your work accurately
These previews are cached by the social platforms that fetch them, and we cannot force a refresh on those platforms' behalf. Your name, headshot, and the public information on your portfolio may persist in those caches and in search-engine indexes for some time after you change or remove content. Closing your account stops public access at our end immediately, but indexes maintained elsewhere update on their own schedule.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a minimal set of cookies, only when needed to operate the service:
- Session cookies to keep signed-in users logged in
- CSRF protection cookies to prevent cross-site request forgery
- Preference cookies set in the signed-in admin area to remember UI choices, such as the per-page count on data tables
We do not use analytics cookies. Traffic to public portfolios is measured using a cookieless approach (a short-lived, in-memory hash of IP address and browser type used only to group requests from the same visitor within a single session). We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not sell tracking data.
5. Who we share data with
- Stripe — payment processing
- Brevo — transactional email delivery
- Cloud infrastructure providers — server hosting, video storage, content delivery, as needed to operate the service
- Law enforcement or regulators — only when required by valid legal process
We don't sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers, and we don't share data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Your rights
You can access and edit most of your account data through your Profile and Billing pages. To delete your account and all associated data, see our Data Deletion page. To make your portfolio non-public, delete the account — there is currently no way to keep an account active but hidden from search engines and link previews. To request a copy of the data we hold about you, or to exercise any other rights you may have under applicable privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), email help@actingfolio.com.
7. Children
ActingFolio is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up without parental consent, email help@actingfolio.com and we'll remove the account.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
